Brief Course Summary:

This webinar will provide ways in which analysts can turn information from guns used in crimes into actionable intelligence for their Detectives. We will touch on NIBIN Leads, eTrace, and the ATF Ness database that can be leveraged for investigative purposes, and will touch on Social Media investigations and how they can contribute to making a gun crime more solvable.

Presenters:

She worked briefly in a small police department before Jointing Fort Worth Police Department in late 2008. Abi Jurrens

I currently work for the Fort Worth Police Department as an analyst in their newly developed Crime Gun Intelligence Unit. Recently prior, I was the sole Crime Analyst for the Eau Claire, Wisconsin Police Department, for just under 4 years. Prior to Wisconsin, I briefly worked at the Detroit Police Department’s Crime Gun Intelligence Unit.

I have gained experience from the following: a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysis, both from Michigan State University; analysis internships at the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center, the Homeland Security Investigations Intelligence Division, several Research Assistant positions, participating in several career-driven extracurricular activities during my undergrad studies.

I grew up visiting my sister, here in Texas, for over 20 years. I enjoyed it so much, I figured I’d try living here! My interests include: horror movies, Detroit & Michigan State sports, being a cat mom, hiking & camping, and antiquing.
