Kimber Burks-Reece Harris County Sheriff's Department
Kimber Burks-Reece was born and raised within a Texas law enforcement family and began her career with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in September 2005. By 2010, Kimber started in the crime and intelligence analysis sector. She has been assigned to numerous units including Houston HIDTA, Patrol Bureau, Real Time Crime Center, Criminal Investigations Bureau, and the Crime Analysis and Intelligence Division. Kimber has excelled as a liaison as she provides support to patrol officers, investigators, and command staff.
Kimber currently sits as the Vice President for the Greater Houston Law Enforcement Analysts (GHLEA) and the Coordinator for the nationally recognized Harris County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard. Presently, she is assigned to the Houston Area Crime Gun Intelligence Center task force with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). When Kimber is not working, she can be found spending time with her husband and sons, with her large extended family, or with her head buried in a book.
Randi Crowder-Thomas
Pasadena Police Department
Randi Thomas is a Crime and Intelligence Analyst with the Pasadena Police Department. She began her career at Pasadena as a Police Dispatcher in 2016 and was promoted to Crime Analyst in 2020. For her first few years as an analyst, Randi’s focus was geared toward administrative, strategic, and tactical analysis for all divisions within the department. In October 2022, Randi was selected for a new position as a Crime and Intelligence Analyst dually assigned to the Violent Crimes Unit at PPD and the Houston Area Crime Gun Intelligence Center at the ATF, where she now focuses primarily on gun crime intelligence. In addition to her role as a TXLEAN committee member, Randi also serves as the Secretary/Treasurer for the Greater Houston Area Law Enforcement Analysts (GHLEA) network and is a member of the International Association of Crime Analysts (IACA).
